Ajax Cape Town coach, Roger De Sa, says their win against Moroka Swallows is the catalyst to get the club back to glory.
De Sa is upbeat that their showing at Dobsonville Stadium is a beginning of new things for the club.
The former Orlando Pirates mentor said despite being on the back foot for long periods of the game, the Urban Warriors pulled-off a rare away win against the Dube Birds.
Midfielder, Lance Davids, was the only scorer on the night from a decent free-kick in the dying seconds of the game.
“Firstly I am very happy with points away from home, the team showed good fighting spirit on the pitch. I know it was not pretty at times. I thought we also had our chances in the game despite riding our luck here and there, but the win was important for us and now we need to get the belief. In football, as in life, just a moment can change your whole perspective, giving you the added confidence to achieve your goals.” added De Sa.
Although the Ikamva-based outfit is still in a celebratory mood over getting revenge against Zeca Marques’ team after they were thumped 3-1 in Cape Town in the first round, their next fixture is against the struggling Golden Arrows.
De Sa’s charges are placed at position 10 after 25 outings with 31 points.
The game is scheduled to get underway at 19:30 tomorrow at the Cape Town Stadium.
