Ajax's Sasman Enjoying Dutch Tour
Ajax Cape Town players, Yagan Sasman and Rivaldo Coetzee have revealed their experiences as they are currently training at Ajax Amsterdam’s “Die Toekomst”.
The young Urban Warriors started training in Amsterdam on May 11 and the Siya crew is informed that it has been a huge learning curve for the two South Africans. The duo is enjoying their time in Amsterdam under the watchful eye of the youth coaches based at the Dutch giants training grounds.
Sasman told the club's website after a strenuous training session, “I'm enjoying the training at Ajax Amsterdam. We are training under coaches Orlando Trustfull (A2 – U18) and Gery Vink (A1 – U19). It’s tough here, they play a slightly different game plan to the way we play in South Africa. The players play hard (give 120% every game) to be in the team, however the defence is more offensive.
"The players are more disciplined in their positions and make better decisions on the ball. Rivaldo is helping me a lot, in fact we helping each with the language and during the game. Other than that, we are making progress. We went to a Dutch language lesson today, we are learning basic football language and a few conversational words. Next week we'll train on Monday and Tuesday then we take some time off on Wednesday, we coming to the airport to meet our teammates from South Africa," revealed Sasman.
