Ajax Cape Town has withdrawn their urgent appeal to interdict the start of the league.
As reported earlier today, Judge Denise Fischer granted the National Soccer League leave to appeal her previous judgement of setting aside Advocate William Mokhari’s award of docking points from Ajax Cape Town for the ineligible fielding of Tendai Ndoro.
Ajax were today set to file an urgent application to interdict the start of the 2018/19 PSL campaign after they were reinstated into the 15th position on the Absa Premiership league standings.
However, following Fischer agreeing to hear the NSL’s appeal, Ajax has since withdrawn their application to interdict the start of the league.
Although it does not end just here, the judge is still set to listen to both the NSL and AmaZulu FC’s appeal and will make a decision thereafter.
The league is looking to have William Mohkhari’s award upheld, which sees Ajax relegated from top-flight football.
