Ajax Cape Town will return to court today and tomorrow as they look to review the decision of arbitrator, William Mokhare.
The Urban Warriors confirmed earlier in June this year, that they will return to court on the 14 and 15 of June, seeking to be reinstated to 15th position on the league standings and participate in the play-offs.
Ajax had seven points docked from their 2017/18 Absa Premiership league, after being found guilty of the ineligible fielding of Tendai Ndoro.
However, the Urban Warriors are not giving up on their pursuit to have the promotion/relegation play-offs replayed, as they still hold hopes of a chance to campaign in South Africa’s top flight next season.
Black Leopards have been promoted to Premier Soccer League status after winning promotion in the play-offs last month.
Should today and tomorrow’s court hearings be ruled in Ajax’s favour and the play-offs are ordered to be replayed, Leopards may look to appeal this decision and the football fraternity could see several amounts of court proceedings take place among the parties involved.
