Ajax Cape Town are determined to return to court this month, confirming that they will be fighting to be reinstated to their 15th place Absa Premiership League finish.
As things stand, the latest court judgement has ruled that Ajax are officially relegated to the National First Division after being docked points for the ineligible fielding of Tendai Ndoro.
Consequently, Platinum Stars earned the right to participate in the promotion/relegation play-offs, after the league table was reshuffled.
The Rustenburg-outfit has failed to win the play-offs, with Black Leopards since promoted to Mzansi’s top flight.

However, it doesn’t all end there. Ajax have confirmed that they will return to court this month, where they will review the ruling of arbitrator, William Mokhare.
“ANNOUNCEMENT
The review of the award of arbitrator William Mokhare regarding the docking of points from Ajax Cape Town will be heard in the South Gauteng High Court on the 14th and 15th of June,” Ajax said on their official Twitter account.
“Ajax Cape Town are seeking the court to order that they are reinstated to 15th position and rightfully earn their right to participate in the play-offs,” the club added.
Now, it remains to be seen what the outcome of June 15 will entail, with indications that Black Leopards will not be happy, should the court rule in Ajax’s favour.
Indications are that should Ajax win their court case and are reinstated, with the play-offs ordered to be replayed, the legal battle may not be over just there, as Leopards will likely argue against the ruling, which could see a possible delay in the commencement of the new 2018/19 campaign.
