Ajax Set To Announce New Head Coach In Coming Days
Ajax Cape Town To Announce Stanley Menzo's Replacement In The Next Few Days
Ajax Cape Town are set to announce a new man at the helm in the coming days after parting ways with Stanley Menzo.
The Siya crew broke the news of Menzo’s possible exit on Tuesday, with Siya sources indicating that management at the club were in discussions about the immediate future of the head coach.
Ajax have since confirmed early this morning that the club parted ways with the Dutchman with immediate effect and is set to announce his successor in the coming days.
“I think that a coaching change is possibly the best for the club right now as we get to the critical part of the season,” said Menzo.
“I would also like to thank the club for the opportunity that was given to me and to also thank all the staff and players who always supported me,” Menzo said on the club’s official website.
“A special mention to the fans for their great support even at times when things were really not going well. I wish the club the best for the remainder of the season,” he added.
As reported by the Siya crew yesterday, former Orlando Pirates head coach, Mushin Ertugral is being linked with a return to the Premier Soccer League, with Siya sources revealing that there have been talk in the football fraternity about the Turkish-born head coach potentially taking over the helm at the Urban Warriors.
