Ajax Cape Town have a squad of 23 players registered with the PSL, however, there's still been no change in the situation with the registration of their foreign players.
Soccer Laduma recently reported that foreigners both in the PSL as well as the NFD are in a race against time to have their work permits issued through South Africa’s Department of Home Affairs.
Clubs have been forced to make do without the majority of their foreign players, with the Urban Warriors beating Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 at a very wet Cape Town Stadium in an Absa Premiership clash on Wednesday night.
Anssi Jaakkola is still the only registered foreign player for the Cape side, with loanee Robin Ngalande, Noah Sadoui and Milton Ncube still awaiting their work permits.
Head coach Roger De Sa, recently confirmed the issues he faces with the foreign players’ work permits to the Siya crew.
However, Ajax have registered 23 players so far for the 2014/15 PSL campaign, which excludes the remaining foreign players, as well as loan returnees, Michael Kwong and Matthew Rowell.
