Information making its way to the Siya crew’s desk is that Ajax Cape Town midfielder, Granwald Scott, will be staying put at the club.
The crew has been monitoring Scott’s situation at the Ikamva-based outfit and it was previously reported that he has started talks but were put on hold as the player was injured.
The player sustained an injury during their Nedbank Cup game against Mamelodi Sundowns and that put the talks on hold. However, Scott’s contract runs until June 2015 and the Kensington-born player is set to stay for longer.
Scott joined the Urban Warriors in 2004, and played 10 games and came off the bench four times this season (2013/14).
Speaking to the crew, the club’s executive, Ari Efstathiou, revealed that the player is still contracted to Ajax.
“Granwald is our player, he’s going nowhere and we hope to give him a deal that will see him here for a longer term. There’s high probability that he will sign and stay with the club, he’s going nowhere for now,” revealed the executive.
The crew is informed that coach Roger De Sa, is an admirer of the player and he is set to play a pivotal role next season.
