Judge Raylene Keightley has dismissed Ajax Cape Town’s appeal to interdict the PSL promotion/relegation play-offs.
The South African Football Association confirmed earlier this week that Ajax Cape Town have been docked seven points after the ineligible fielding of Tendai Ndoro.
SAFA revealed at the time,” Arbitrator William Mokhari has delivered his verdict on the Ajax Cape Town/Tendai Ndoro matter. He has found Ajax Cape Town guilty and docked them points in matches against Platinum Stars, Polokwane City and Supersport United.”
This meant that Ajax found themselves automatically relegated from the Absa Premiership after being reduced to 24 points, with Platinum Stars on 27 points and through to the relegation play-offs.
However, the Urban Warriors subsequently confirmed that they were set to interdict the decision, with the hearing scheduled to take place today, May 18.
It has since been confirmed that the judge dismissed Ajax's appeal to interdict the decision for the promotion/relegation play-offs to continue.
Platinum Stars went ahead with their first fixture earlier this week, losing 1-0 to Black Leopards.
