Ajax Cape Town have extended the deals of both Bantu Mzwakali and Tashreeq Morris, giving them an extra two years at the club.
The Siya crew reported yesterday that defender, Cecil Lolo, had had his two-year option extended by the club, and it has now been confirmed that the same can be said for both Mzwakali Morris.
A statement from the club read, “Ajax Cape Town can confirm that the club have exercised the options on the contracts of Cecil Lolo, Bantu Mzwakali and Tashreeq Morris for a further two years.
“With all three players being graduates from the Urban Warriors’ prestigious youth academy, it was essential for the club to exercise the options on their contracts, and keep them with Ajax Cape Town for the foreseeable future.”
Meanwhile, CEO, Ari Efstathiou, told the Ajax’s club website, “Our aim of challenging for the league title by 2017, with a squad made up of 80% academy graduates, still remains on track. We are thrilled that we are able to keep such a talented squad together and Cecil, Bantu and Tashreeq are definitely an integral part of the plan.”
