Young Thomas Chideu may be handed his Ajax Cape Town debut this weekend due to suspensions and injuries at the club.
In-form striker, Nathan Paulse, is suspended for this weekend’s Telkom Knockout clash with Golden Arrows after picking up his fourth yellow card of the season in the 1-1 draw with Kaizer Chiefs this weekend, while Toriq Losper had to be stretchered off in the same game.
Meanwhile, Tashreeq Morris is continuing his recovery from a long-term injury and Prince Nxumalo is not expected to feature following his epileptic attack last week.
With all of the above in mind, recent signing, Erwin Isaacs, is likely to be given a place in Roger de Sa’s starting XI, with 18-year-old Chideu fully expected to feature against Abafana Bes’thende.
De Sa’s side have lost just two of their last 12 games, including the MTN8 final win over Kaizer Chiefs, and he will no doubt be eager for his side to show similar form in this year’s TKO.
