De Sa Not Afraid Of Tough Start

Ajax Cape Town coach, Roger De Sa, tells Soccer Laduma that he has welcomed the PSL draw for the upcoming 2014/15 season, despite the tough opponents in their opening three games.

This after the PSL announced Absa Premiership fixtures for week one, two, three and 30 for next season.

The Absa Premiership season which is set to get underway on the weekend of 8-10 August, will see the Urban Warriors travel to Durban in their opening league encounter to take on AmaZulu. Having lost both league matches against Usuthu in the 2013/14 season (1-0 and 2-1), the Ikamva-based outfit will hope for a better result this time around.

Former Orlando Pirates and Wits coach, Roger De Sa, was satisfied with the draw and further pointed out that it now gives them an opportunity to start their pre-season knowing what to aim for.

“It doesn’t matter who we start against, but it means we have to start well. We lost both our games against them and it's our chance to turn things around this time. It will be challenging for sure as it’s always the story especially on an away game. We’re working on getting new players, but nothing has been confirmed yet. We’re waiting for our U19’s to come back from Holland, and we’ll see what happens from there,” said De Sa.

De Sa’s men will have another daunting task after the Usuthu tie when they welcome PSL champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, in their second league fixture in Cape Town.
