Ajax Cape Town have been boosted by the return of some key players to their squad and this could change the club’s fortunes in the early stages of the 2013/14 Absa Premiership season.
The Urban Warriors have hardly had an ideal start to the current PSL season, managing only two draws and suffering three defeats in their first five league matches.
The Cape-based club has been boosted by a number of returns to their squad while the league focus has shifted to the Telkom Knockout Cup.
Thulani Hlatshwayo and Franklin Cale have both returned from their respective injuries after missing several weeks of PSL action, while goalkeeper Brandon Petersen will make a swift return after sustaining an injury during Ajax’s 2-0 defeat to Polokwane City.
The biggest news coming out of Ikamva is the return of defender Nazeer Allie, who started his rehabilitation a few weeks ago. High ranking officials at the club informed the Siya crew that Allie is approximately two weeks away from returning to full training.
Allie was due to move to Wits during the recent transfer window but the deal hit a snag when Allie failed his medical at the club.
It remains to be seen whether or not Allie will be registered for 2013/14 Absa Premiership season. The Siya crew will monitor the situation and bring you all the latest developments.
