The agent of Felix Annan, who is the Ghanaian international goalkeeper that was linked with Orlando Pirates, has spoken about the player’s interest in a move to Mzansi.
Earlier this year, as Pirates had been linked with a number of goalkeepers including the newly signed Richard Ofori, the ex-Maritzburg United goalkeeper’s countryman Felix Annan’s name was among the names that were bandied about.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Annan’s Mzansi-based representative Tshepo More from More Football Agency has confirmed the 25-year-old goalkeeper’s interest in a switch to the DStv Premiership.
“The most important thing that we are tying to do is to bring the player to SA. He is a very quality player. Chippa United is one of the clubs that were keen on the player. The club’s goalkeeper coach really liked him but due to the COVID-19 we couldn’t bring the player here at the time. The boy has been working really hard and is very hungry and I can’t really point out any negatives about him,” said More.
Annan, who is left with one year on his contract with Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko, was previously also linked with Maritzburg as the club had been in search of a replacement for Ofori who has signed with Pirates, before the Team of Choice opted for Zambian international goalkeeper Sebastian Mwange.
