The agent of AmaZulu FC midfielder Makhehleni Makhaula has opened up on the player's future, giving clarity on the situation.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, Usuthu are moving quick to tie down their captain Makhaula to avoid losing one of the club's key players.
Makhaula's agent Sizwe Ntshangase has confirmed the player's commitment to the club.
"I saw your story and I would like to give more clarity. I know the club is still happy with him and they would like to keep him, but for now his contract does not have an option," Ntshangase told the Siya crew.
"There's been information that he signed two years when he joined, in fact, he signed three years with no option, so it ends in 2023."
Ntshangase further said, as much as Usuthu want to keep Makhaula, the player and his agent have not yet met with the club management.
"The club has not discussed anything with us, he still has one year with no option, and when the time is right, we will discuss with President Sandile Zungu, but for now both parties are still happy."
