Agent: People Thought We Were Mad
Agent Delighted For Player’s Deal
A local football agent is delighted with the deal he facilitated for one of his players this season.
Following a stint with Chippa United during the first half of the season, Moeketsi Sekola joined Highlands Park in the NFD in the second half of the campaign.
The striker had been on loan at Chippa from the Lions of the North. The player’s agent Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi from Rush Hour Sports Management has explained the decision to move the player from a PSL club to the NFD.
“Some people thought we were mad when we did a deal with Highlands Park for Moeketsi Sekola. We moved the player from Chippa United in the PSL and to Highlands Park in the NFD, and some people didn’t understand what we were doing,” said Mulovhedzi.
“Highlands Park is a good team and the player is happy there. The club is treating the player very well. The player’s signing-on fee has been paid, as agreed. His salary has been paid. Highlands Park is one of the well-organised teams and it’s not surprising that they are returning to the PSL. We were briefed about the team’s plans for returning to the PSL and that’s why it wasn’t difficult for us to enter into a deal with the club for Sekola,” concluded the agent.
Sekola has been impressive with his performances for the Lions of the North. During the recent 7-1 win for Highlands Park against Mbombela United, Sekola scored two goals to assist the team in their hope of automatic promotion to the PSL.
