Cuthbert Malajila’s agent, Ryan Hartslief, has confirmed to the Siya crew that the Maritzburg United striker is “likely” to be on his way to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The crew revealed yesterday that ‘Downs and Malajila had already agreed terms verbally, though the clubs hadn’t yet come to a decision on the transfer fee that would be exchanged.
Now, with the finalisation of the contract seemingly imminent, while Hartslief couldn't comment on whether terms had been agreed, he did confirm that the two clubs are currently locked in talks.
He told the crew, “Yes, it is looking likely that Cuthbert will be joining Sundowns. Maritzburg United and Mamelodi Sundowns are currently in talks as they attempt to agree on a transfer fee but the player has already agreed to making the move in principle. The player is contracted to Maritzburg and thus we can only hope that a suitable deal can concluded between the two clubs."
Malajila has been in fine form for The Team of Choice this season, scoring 11 goals, and has been a long-time target of The Brazilians.
