Cole Alexander’s representative has confirmed that the player has parted ways with SuperSport United following an 18-month spell with the club.

Gary Cassisa of Mede8Sports confirmed that the two parties parted ways amicably. Alexander joined SuperSport from Polokwane City on a free transfer in 2016. His spell at SuperSport was hampered with injury and after seeing little game-time at the club, the 28-year-old is now looking to take on the next step in his professional career.

Cassisa confirmed that they agreed to part ways with a mutual termination of his contract. “Yes, Cole has parted ways. It was a mutual termination and we would like to thank the club and the CEO, Stanley Matthews, for the opportunity at the club."

They also thanked the former coach, Stuart Baxter. He added, “We also thank Stuart  Baxter, who took Cole to SuperSport.”

When asked where Cole’s future lies, Cassisa did not divulge any information, though did admit that they were assessing several options.

Bobby Motaung here's a free agent we could do with at Kaizer Chiefs to give Willard Katsande much needed competition, yes even though we have Wiseman Meyiwa(Who is still wet behind the ears). Cole Alexander on the other hand is a well experienced player who works hard in the middle of the park ... #Khosi4Life #Naturena Village #PhefeniGlamourBoys #BlackAndGold #LoveAndPeace

@sunda as a Chiefs fan I do not remember Chiefs putting in bids for Dolly or Zungu but Manyama you are correct. Yeye is old but still a Khosi to me. I was thinking of Majoro, Nkatha, Mashamaite, Lebese, Ntshangase,.....

I think Cole alexander should go to teams like Ajax cape town, cape town city,Golden arrows and maritzburg united in order to get game time because he is still young and strong to being a benchwarmer...i don't need him at khosi i have players of his calibre

Guys i advice all teams to watch out for amakhosi this season they have made good signings but only wrong thing they did is to loan gordinho to celtics they should have did that to cardoso because he is not as strong as gordinho but we are killing this time we use mahlasela and molangoane as our wings ntshangase as our destroyer and upfront is Paez and Castro eish they call it Pa-ca combination...Ntshangase will sign anytime now just transfer fee block and to amakhosi fans relax Castro is chiefs player he is not going we have signed him with a straight cash deal

@thato357 I agree Pirates should sign him , Nyatama is an offensive player n he is limiting Pirates when he is played as a defensive Midfielder.
