Mpumalanga Black Aces are back in the Mother City to face Chippa United in a crucial PSL Promotion/Relegation Play-Off encounter, which could see them return to the PSL after a gap of three seasons.
Tonight’s clash at the Cape Town Stadium (starting 19:30) is a do-or-die affair for the Chilli Boys, who will be relegated to the NFD if they don’t pick up maximum points.
Whereas on the other hand, should AmaZayoni lose, then the team that is based in Middleburg still has an opportunity to get into the top flight, when they play Santos at home in the final match of this round robin competition on Saturday.
“We’re here for a win,” Aces coach Jacob Sakala tells Soccer-Laduma. “I won’t be defending because that’s when you make a mistake so my team will be going full out to pick up all three points. Then against Santos we can rest the first team and play our reserves. Everybody needs a holiday, including myself.
“Also remember if that if we pick up one point then we’ve not only won the Play-Offs but also the league with twenty-seven games so we really deserve to be promoted.”
