The club has since issued a statement on their official website confirming the Soccer-Laduma story.
Aces statement on Mayambela and Siwahla release:
“Following a meeting with management, both players have left the club immediately via a consensual agreement for gross misbehaviour."
“There were various indiscretions that led to Mark Mayambela and Mkhanyiseli Siwahla being called to an internal hearing after they allegedly came to training under the influence of alcohol.
“Both players were requested to undergo alcohol tests at the nearby Linksfield clinic, which they both refused.
“They were immediately suspended and asked to attend a disciplinary hearing scheduled for Tuesday this week.
“The Aces player handbook signed by the team, clearly highlights that the club has a ‘zero tolerance’ for misbehaviour.
“Both players indicated that they did not want to attend the DC and requested instead that the club release them from their contracts.
“Black Aces agreed and have issued them free clearances as the club did not want to stand in the way for them to further their careers.
“Aces would like to thank the players for their contribution this season and wished both of them well for the future.”
