Word reaching the Siya crew is Mpumalanga Black Aces have decided against signing former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Derrick Spencer.
As reported by the Siya crew, Spencer started training with AmaZayoni at the end of last year, and it was thought the defender would sign with Aces before the Christmas break after Barker told the crew that they are ready to open talks with Spencer, but those talks failed to materialise.
Aces have now decided not to sign the 31-year-old Durban born defender.
“The chairman (Mario Morfou) has confirmed that they have decided against signing Derrick Spencer,” read a statement on the official Aces website.
“Danleigh Borman has also been placed on transfer,” added the statement.
Borman joined AmaZayoni on a one-year deal in September last year, but now Aces are ready to release him again.
Aces have already bolstered the left back position with the acquisition of SuperSport United defender Innocent Mdledle.
