Winless SuperSport Held By Chippa

Absa Premiership
Result: SuperSport United 0-0 Chippa United
Date: 14 September 2016
Venue: Lucas Moripe Stadium
SuperSport United are still searching for their first win of the season, after they played out a 0-0 draw with Chippa United.
Stuart Baxter's charges had most of the ball in the opening exchanges, but were unable to carve out clear-cut chances.
Dan Malesela was clearly not happy with the things were going for his side, and he responded by making a double change by bringing in Menzi Masuku and Lerato Manzini for Buyani Sali and David Zulu after 36 minutes.
Both sides struggled to create chances as the half went on, while SuperSport were restricted to efforts from distance, none of which troubled Daniel Akpeyi.
The score remained goalless as the sides went into the halftime, as neither club registered a single effort on target in the opening 45 minutes.
Akpeyi came to Chippa's rescue after 57 minutes, after the Nigerian shot-stopper produced a fine save to keep out Jeremy Brockie's header.
With SuperSport still searching for an opener, Stuart Baxter introduced Dove Wome for Kingston Nkhatha in the 64th minute.
Chances were hard to come by in the final 20 minutes, although Brockie was guilty of missing a glorious chance in stoppage time as the score remained goalless at the full-time whistle.
Here's how they lined-up:
SuperSport United: 30. Williams, 5. Boxall, 29. Gould, 33. Booysen, 14. Bhasera, 8. Furman, 6. Letsholonyane, 18. Morton (Modiba 74'), 13. Phala, 10. Nkhatha (Wome 67'), 11. Brockie.
