Polokwane City registered their first win of the campaign, after defeating Highlands Park 3-2 in a thrilling encounter on Saturday afternoon.
Rise and Shine broke the deadlock after just six minutes as Thobani Mncwango netted his second of the season with a close-range finish.
However, the visitors were awarded a penalty after 29 minutes, which Collins Mbesuma took the penalty and managed to convert to level matters.
Mbesuma's equaliser made his history, as the Zambian became the fifth player to score 100 goals in the PSL.
Polokwane restored their lead a few minutes later, as Rodney Ramagalela picked out Sipho Jembula, who slotted home from close range.
Highlands wasted no time in leveling matters as Charlton Mashumba bagged his second of the season by turning home Jose Garcia's cross.
Allan Freese opted for a change 10 minutes into the second half, as Thanduyise Khuboni replaced Sandile Khwela.
Polokwane pushed for a third goal and were rewarded in the 73rd minute thanks to a strike from Jabu Maluleke. His first goal of the season.
The newly promoted outfit pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages, but were unable to carve out a clear-cut opening, as Polokwane held on for the three points.
