Polokwane City proved too strong for Golden Arrows, as they romped to a 3-1 win at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Rise and Shine opened the scoring after just two minutes as Jabulani Maluleke fired home a free-kick from the edge of the box.
Arrows leveled matters in the 13th minute thanks to a penalty from Musa Bilankulu, after Lerato Lamola was brought down in the box.
Clinton Larsen's charges saw most of the ball in the opening half, but were let down by their decision-making in the final third.
Rise and Shine restored their lead just before the break as Maluleke bagged his second goal with a right-footed finish.
The home side made it 3-1 in the 51st minute as Vusimusi Mngomezulu got on the score-sheet with George Chigova picking up the assist.
Arrows responded with a change after 60 minutes as Knox Mutizwa came on for Kagisho Dikgacoi.
Larsen's charges pushed for a way back into the clash but Chigova was on hand to pull off a couple vital saves.
