Polokwane City avoided the PSL relegation playoffs on the final day of the season after recording a 1-1 draw with 10-man Chippa United on Saturday afternoon.
It proved to be a cagey affair in the opening stages, with both sides struggling to build up any attacks in the opening 20 minutes.
Chippa finally broke the deadlock in the 38th minute as Linda Mntambo raced through on goal before volleying past Harold Ndlovu.
Rise and Shine managed to level matters three minutes before the break, with Thando Booi drilling the ball into the bottom corner from inside the box.
The Chilli Boys looked more lively in the opening stages of the second half, although they were let down by their decision making in the final third.
With 20 minutes remaining, Chippa were reduced to 10 men when Abel Mabaso was given his marching orders for a second yellow card.
