Platinum Stars' search for a first Absa Premiership win continues after they drew 0-0 with Chippa United on Saturday evening.
The first opening ten minutes were scrappy from the two sides, with a lot of stop-starts from the fouls committed.
The Chilli Boys settled into the match the quickest of the two teams as after 21 minutes Kurt Lentjies was orchestrating a good flow of their passes.
However, after half-an-hour the match was still logged at 0-0 as the two sides were will still sizing each other out.
Abia Nale came close to opening the scoring for Chippa in the 38th minute, finding space on the edge of the box but his right-footed shot sailed narrowly over the bar.
In the last seven minutes the chances were few and far between and the two sides went into the halftime break goalless.
Chippa goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi denied Robert Ng'ambi and Dikwena the lead in the 55th minute with a great save following a header from the centre of the box.
Roger De Sa's charges were getting into good scoring positions after 67 minutes but the presence of the big Akpeyi put them off on a couple of occasions.
Moeketsi Sekola should have broken the deadlock for the visitors in the 76th minute but fluffed his chance inside the box with only the goalkeeper Mbongeni Mzimela to beat.
The chances started to disappear again towards the end of the second-half, with most of the play swinging to and fro in midfield.
The final five minutes saw Roger De Sa's charges backpedaling, with Chippa pressing for a winning goal but it was not to be as the game ended goalless.
Dikwena now remain bottom of the standings with one point from four games while Chippa remain in 13th.
