The Team of Choice started positively applying the pressure early on. While Siwelele struggled in the early stages but got into the game gradually.

In the 17th minute, Fiston Abdul Razak had a great chance to grab the lead for the visitors but his right-footed shot from the edge of the box went narrowly wide.

Celtic eventually broke the deadlock in the 34th minute thanks to a strike from Musa Nyatama.

The Team of Choice were now under pressure but were cautious going forward to avoid being caught on the counter-attack.

In the 41st minute, Evans Rusike got up well to connect with a corner hit by Kurt Lentjies but the ball had no power as Virgil Vries collected comfortably from close range.

The match went into the interval with Siwelele leading 1-0.

Three minutes into the second half, Mohau Mokate leveled matters for the Team of Choice shortly after coming on for Bandile Shandu.

Fadlu Davids got the desired impact from his substitute who scored with his first action into the match.

The fight in the engine room was intense as the Team of Choice were looking to control the game from the midfield, although chances were hard to come by.

In the 75th minute, Nyatama hit a well struck shot from outside the box that was goal bound, but the strike swerved just wide of the upright.

Both sides pushed for a goal in the closing stages, but neither could carve out a clear-cut chance as the score remained 1-1 at the full-time whistle.
