Mbesuma, Mashumba Hand Highlands Winning Start

Absa Premiership
Result: Highlands Park 2-1 Baroka FC
Date: 13 September 2016
Venue: Makhulong Stadium
Collins Mbesuma and Charlton Mashumba scored on debut to hand Highlands Park a 2-1 win over Baroka FC, who were awarded three penalties in the match.
Baroka got off a fine start as they were awarded a penalty in the seventh minute, which Marshall Munetsi converted to put the visitors in the lead, 1-0.
New Highlands signings Mashumba and Franklyn Cale were lively for the hosts in the opening 20 minutes, as they searched for a way back in the game.
Allan Freese's charges eventually leveled matters after 31 minutes when another debutant, Mbesuma turned home Cales's free-kick, 1-1.
Baroka were awarded their second penalty of the game five minutes before the break, however Munetsi stepped up and saw his spot-kick saved by Tapuwa Kapini.
Highlands took the lead 10 minutes into the second half as Cale picked up his second assist by setting up Mashumba, who slotted home from close range.
Baroka opted for two changes after the hour-mark, as Khunadi Nkoana and Tshepo Matete were introduced.
The visitors were then awarded their third penalty of the game after 69 minutes, but Kapini guessed the right away again and saved Dineo Shaku's spot-kick.
Kgoloko Thobejane's struggled to carve out clear-cut openings in the final 20 minutes of the half, as Highlands held on to begin their Absa Premiership campaign with three points.
