Clinton Larsen's men came into the clash desperate looking for three points, having last secure victory on the opening day of the season.

Lerato Lamola made of a nuisance of himself against the Chippa defence, and he managed to carve open a chance after 20 minutes for Danny Venter, who blazed over the crossbar from close range.

The Chilli Boys grew into the game as the half went and they went close to bagging the opener in the 37th minute as Kurt Lentjies' effort was kept out by Arrows goalkeeper Gumede.

Gumede ensured the sides went into the break all square as the Arrows shot-stopper produced a good save to deny Seakanyeng from close range.

After a quiet start to the second haf, it was Daniel Akpeyi's turn to prove his worth, with the Chippa goalkeeper rushing off his line to thwart Knox Mutizwa on 62 minutes.

With 15 minutes remaining, Tinkler introduced Rhulani Manzini for Lentjies as the Chilli Boys went in search of a winning goal.

Both sides went in search for a winning goal in the remaining stages of the half, but neither could carve out a serious opening as the spoils were shared on the day.
