Aces Remain Unbeaten After Mbesuma Double

Absa Premiership
Teams: Golden Arrows 1-2 Mpumalanga Black Aces
Date: 23 September 2015
Venue: King Zwelithini Stadium
Mpumalanga Black Aces maintained their unbeaten start to the Absa Premiership season with a 2-1 win over Golden Arrows on Wednesday night.
Both sides started the game positively, creating chances at both ends. Lebogang Manyama teed it up for Collins Mbesuma with a great through-ball in the 10th minute but he couldn't make good connection. Then moments later it was Mabhudi Khenyeza who failed to make the most of his chance.
However, Abafana Bes'thende found the opener in the 14th minute as Deon Hotto found the back of Shu-Aib Walters' net via a wicked deflection off Zamokuhle Ngalo that outwitted the goalkeeper.
Arrows had the wind in their sails as they continued to push for a second with Rodney Ramagalela and Siyabonga Dube both coming close to doubling the lead for the hosts.
The game, however, was all square in the 34th minute when Dube didn't manage to deal with Kpah Sherman's cross and saw Mbesuma pounce on the loose ball to fire home the equaliser for Amazayoni.
The promising start to the game turned sour for the home team after the break as Aces took the lead for the first time. Mbesuma was the scorer again as he tucked Manyama's pass home.
Here's how they lined up:
Arrows: Mbaeva, Mngwengwe, Mathiane, Sikhakhane, S.Dube, Shitolo, N.Cele, Fikizolo, Hotto, Khenyeza, Ramagalela
Aces: Walters, Kobola, Ngalo, Mzava, Nonyane, Manyama, Khuboni, Matsi, Jayiya, Sherman, Mbesuma
