Free State Stars and Bloemfontein Celtic earned a share of the spoils, after playing out a 0-0 draw at Goble Park.
 
 
The opening exchanges proved to be a scrappy, with both sides committing needless fouls, which disrupted the flow of the game.
 
The first real opening arrived after 22 minutes, as Alfred Ndengane forced Thela Ngobeni into a superb save with a glancing header.
 
Stars, meanwhile, were sloppy whenever they were in possession of the ball,  while their decision-making in the final third was poor.
 
Celtic ended the half on a stronger note and were unlucky not take the lead on the stroke of halftime when Ngonbeni produced a reflex save to deny Mahlasela from six-yards out.
 
Stars made a change at the start of the second half, as they introduced Thokozani Sekotlong for Goodman Dlamini.
 
Celtic opted to make a change of their own after 57 minutes, as Deon Hotto replaced the in-effective Masuku.
 
Chances were hard to come by in the final 20 minutes, as both sides really struggled in the respective final thirds.
 
Nonetheless, the score remained goalless at the full-time whistle, as both sides are yet to secure their first win of the season
