Result: Cape Town City 0-0 Polokwane City

Venue: Cape Town Stadium
After claiming back-to-back wins over Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns, Cape Town City could only manage to secure a point against Polokwane City on Friday evening.
After netting the winner against Sundowns last week, Chris David earned himself a starting berth along with Teko Modise in the City midfield.
David nearly repaid the faith shown in him by Benni McCarthy, but his long-range strike was tipped away by Polokwane goalkeeper George Chigova.
Unfortunately, that was only save any goalkeeper had to make in the opening first half as City, who saw most of the ball, struggled to carve out clear-cut chances.
Rise and Shine came into the clash unbeaten in their last five matches, but they failed to mount serious attempts of their own, with the in-form Mohammed Anas kept quiet in the opening 45 minutes.
With the Citizens struggling to break Polokwane down, Benni McCarthy opted to introduce Siphelele Mthembu and Craig Martin around the hour mark.
Mthembu's introduction nearly paid dividends with 15 minutes remaining, but Chigova was on hand to deny City's top scorer.
That proved to be the final clear-cut chance of the second half as the two sides were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
