Bloemfontein Celtic missed the chance to move top of the Absa Premiership after losing 2-1 to Polokwane City on Sunday afternoon.
Siwelele, who were looking to leapfrog Orlando Pirates, went a goal down in the 13th minute after Salulani Phiri opened the scoring for Rise and Shine.
Phunya Sele Sele got the better chances towards the half-hour mark but were not clinical in front of goal, while Jozef Vukusic’s troops were absorbing the pressure.
Polokwane were defending in numbers as the half went on, which made it difficult for Komphela's side carve out chances in the final third for the rest of the half.
Komphela then made a double substitution six minutes into the second stanza, bringing on Vusi Shikweni in place of Ryan De Jongh and Victor Letsoalo in place of Tshepo Rikhotso.
The changes were bearing fruit for Siwelele as they upped their tempo after 65 minutes in search for the equaliser.
They were eventually rewarded 11 minutes from time, as Kabelo Dlamini finally equalised after some persistent pressure.
However, Mpambaniso Monde snatched a late winner for City a minute before full time as Celtic miss out on the chance to move top.
