Amr Gamal had a chance to put Gavin Hunt's charges ahead in the 27th minute but his gliding header inside the box sailed over the bar.
The clear-cut chances were few and far between after 40 minutes and ultimately the two sides went into the halftime break scoreless.
Wandisile Letlabika was stretched off the field in the 53rd minute following a horrible tackle by Gamal in his ankle. He did not make it back and was replaced by Aphile Lubisi.
Siwelele were showing signs of growing in the game after 70 minutes with striker Roggert Nyundu threatening upfront.

Gavin Hunt's charges were alarmed and started to venture forward with urgency going into the 80th minute.
Striker James Keen was introduced in the place of midfielder Thabang Monare in the closing stages, with Hunt looking for a quick response but it was not to be as Veselin Jelusic's troops stayed firm at the back to secure the win.
