Bidvest Wits' struggles in the Absa Premiership continued, after they lost 1-0 to Platinum Stars at the Bidvest Stadium.
After a quiet opening, Stars broke the deadlock on 17 minutes, when Robert Ng'ambi rose well to head home from a corner, 0-1.
The Clever Boys nearly leveled matters in the 31st minute, as Thabang Monare rattled the upright with a strike from distance.
Despite going behind, Gavin Hunt's charges continued to dominate the possession in the first half, but they were unable to carve out clear-cut chances.
That proved to be the trend for the rest of the half, as Roger De Sa's men went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
Hunt opted for a double change at the start of the second half, as Amr Gamal and Gerald Phiri replaced Mhango and Daylon Claasen.
Wits carved out a couple chances in the opening 10 minutes as Thulani Hlatshwayo and Phiri went close.
The second half continued in the same fashion as the first with Wits dominating without creating chances.
With 12 minutes remaining, Eleazar Rodgers went close to leveling matters but his glancing header sailed wide of the upright.
However ,Dikwena managed to see out the closing stages of the second half to claim a vital victory on the road.
