Ajax Cape Town and Polokwane City earned a share of the spoils, after playing out a 1-1 draw at the Cape Town Stadium.
The home side broke the deadlock after four minutes as Nathan Paulse turned home Thabo Mosadi's cross with a neat flick at the near post.
Lebogang Mokoena was impressing on his full debut down the left flank, although Mosadi was proving to be Ajax's biggest threat on the opposite flank.
Rise and Shine started seeing more of the ball after 25-minute mark and they nearly leveled matters through Jabu Maluleke, but the midfielder's forced Brandon Petersen into a stunning save.
Polokwane continued to push for an equaliser in the closing stages of the half, but their decision-making in the final third was not up to scratch.
The score remained 1-0 in favour of the Urban Warriors at the break.
Ajax opted for a change at the start of the second half, as Ndiviwe Mdabuka replaced Mosadi, who picked up a knock.
Polokwane were awarded a penalty after the hour mark when Puleng Tlolane was brought down by Roscoe Pietersen, who was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Thobani Mncwango stepped up and made no mistake from the spot to level matters for the visitors. It was also Polokwane's first goal of the season.
Roger De Sa responded by introducing Prince Nxumalo for the final 20 minutes, as Ajax went in search of a winner.
Polokwane pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but Petersen ensured Ajax walked away with a point, as he produced a stunning save to deny Tlolane from the edge of the area.
