Baroka FC will compete in the Promotion/Relegation play-offs after they recorded a 1-0 win over Ajax Cape Town in their final Absa Premiership game of the season.
It was a cagey affair in the opening 15 minutes, with both side struggling to carve out clear-cut chances, which forced them into long range efforts.
Baroka carved out the first real opening of the half in the 36th minute with a shot across the face of the goal that sailed just wide of Brandon Petersen's upright.
The Urban Warriors had a half a chance two minutes later when Thabo Mosadi skipped past two challenges, but the Baroka defence did well to deny the winger in the box.
Ajax were the reduced to 10 men in the 41st minutes when Roscoe Pietersen was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Mxolisi Kunene.
Neither side could break the deadlock in the closing stages, as they went into the break goalless.
Five minutes into the second half, Baroka took the lead as Madubanya rose well and sent a fine header into the top corner, 0-1.
Madubanya then went from hero to villain in the 59th minute when he was sent off for a late challenge on Travis Graham.
Ajax pushed for an equaliser and they went close in th 71st minute as Mosadi skipped past a couple challenges before firing straight at Oscarine Masuluke.
The hosts went even close eight minutes later when Prince Nxumalo's close range effort was cleared off the line.
Stanley Menzo's charges threw everything forward in search of an equaliser in the closing stages, but Baroka managed to hold out for the win.
