Platinum Stars defender Simphiwe Mnguni believes that their well-worked game was the reason they were able to earn a point against Kaizer Chiefs in an Absa Premiership game on Wednesday night.
Dikwena opened the scoring in the first half courtesy of a controversial goal by Robert N’gambi, but saw their lead extinguished in the second-half by Pule Ekstein.
Speaking after the game, Mnguni, upon receiving his Man of the Match award, admitted that they are happy with a point, especially playing away from home.
“Coming to the game I think we did well,” said Mnguni.
“We had a good game plan. We played very well against Kaizer Chiefs. At least we came back with a point.
“I am happy with the point. We contained them - they were coming at us in the last 20 minutes. We defended very well and we kept the point.
“We are going to go back home and prepare for our next game.
“We are going to take it a game at a time.”
