He had a great game between the sticks for Cosmos. He commanded his defence well and was good under aerial balls into the box. He also made a few crucial saves. He made a great save in the 49th minute to deny Manqele in a one-on-one. He also made two good saves in the dying seconds of the game to deny both Mthembu and Katsande.

Thato Lingwati: 6

He had an average game in his right back role. At times he struggled to keep tabs on the likes of Tshabalala and Masilela, but did his job for the most part. He was booked in the 89th minute.

Cheslyn Jampies: 6

He had a quiet game by his standards in his left-back role. He did not get forward as much as he usually does, but did his defensive job well.

Mxolisi Macuphu: 6.5

He was not really in the game that much, but did what was required of him in his defensive midfield role. He did have a shot on goal in the first half, but volleyed wide from 24-yards out.

Pentjie Zulu: 6.5

He was in and out of the game. At times he looked very threatening down the left flank, but he went missing for large parts of the match. His best contribution was a pint-point cross for Mthembu in the 14th minute, but the latter headed wide.

Charlton Mashumba: 7.5

He had a great game in attack and looked lively from the first whistle. If anything, his finishing could need some improving. He rounded the keeper on the half hour mark, but fired into the side netting. He had a thunderous long range shot in the 62nd minute, but saw his effort brilliantly saved by the keeper. He headed a Mtambo cross just over the crossbar from ten-yards out in the 73rd minute. He met a corner-kick from Parker in the 47th minute, but headed over the crossbar. He met another cross into the box in the 64th minute, but again headed over the target.

He had a good game in his left-back role. He defended well and got down the flank in attack as well. He fired inches wide from 16-yards out in the 48th minute.

Bernard Parker: 6.5

He had a relatively good game out of position down the right flank. He created a few scoring opportunities for his teammates, but had no shots on goal himself. He produced a pin-point cross from a left-sided free-kick for Mathoho in the tenth minute, but the latter headed over. He provided a good cross from a corner-kick for Mathoho in the 47th minute, but he headed over the crossbar again. He was substituted in the 70th minute.

Willard Katsande: 7

Siphiwe Tshabalala: 6.5

He had a decent game in his left-wing role, but could have got into the game a bit more in attack. He provided a good cross from a right-sided free-kick for Mathoho in the 64th minute, but the defender headed over the target.

Camaldine Abraw: 6

He saw very little of the ball, but worked hard off-the-ball to create space for his teammates. He was substituted in the 85th minute.

Edward Manqele: 7.5

He had a good game in attack and looked threatening throughout. He found the back of the net in the 43rd minute, but the goal was disallowed because of off-sides. He had a great chance to score in the 49th minute, but was superbly denied by the Cosmos keeper in a one-on-one. He was substituted in the 86th minute.
