Arrows Add To SuperSport's Woes

Absa Premiership
Result: SuperSport United 1-2 Golden Arrows
Date: 20 October 2015
Venue: Lucas Moripe Stadium
SuperSport United suffered their fourth straight defeat in the Absa Premiership after losing 2-1 to Golden Arrows.
The hosts started the clash the brighter of the two sides, as Clayton Daniels' flick sailed just wide of the upright from close range after two minutes.
However, it was Arrows who opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Trevor Mathiane, who tapped home from close range.
SuperSport looked to hit back after the 30-minute mark when Dove Wome played Kingston Nkhatha through, however the Zimbabwean pulled his effort wide of the target.
Gordon Igesund's men nearly drew themselves level in the 43rd minute, however Wome squandered a glorious chance from close range.
SuperSport were made to rue Wome's miss on the stroke of halftime, as Kudakwashe Mahachi sprung the offside trap, before slotting past Ronwen Williams.
Igesund's charges certainly made their intentions clear after the break, as Nkhatha had a goal flagged for offside, before the Zimbabwean had another effort cleared off the line.
The hosts managed to reduce the deficit in the 65th minute as Nkathta managed to sneak an effort past Maximilian Mbaeva from a tight angle.
SuperSport continued to create openings in search of the equaliser, although Nkahtha failed to add to his tally when he fired wide from close range in the 67th minute.
Williams came to SuperSport's rescue in the 85th minute, as the goalkeeper was on hand to deny Rodney Ramagalela from adding a third for Arrows.
However, Arrows held on to claim the three points at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, while SuperSport have now extended their winless run in the league to four games.
Here's how they lined up:
