A brace from Collins Mbesuma inspired Mpumalanga Black Aces to a 4-1 win over Maritzburg United at the Kanyamazane Stadium.
Newly appointed Maritzburg manager, Clive Barker, had to wait to manage his first game, as he watched on from the stands, as Fadlu Davids took over the reigns for the encounter.
It was the home side who broke the deadlock in the 30th minute when Bongolwethu Jayiya leveled matters with a right-footed finish for his second league goal of the season.
It didn't take long for the visitors to draw themselves level, as Deolin Mekoa picked out Ashley Hartog, who slotted past Shu-Aib Walters.
However, Aces restored their advantage on the stroke of halftime when Collins Mbesuma rose highest to head home a cross from the right for his fourth goal of the season.
Muhsin Ertugral's side managed to grab a third goal in the 60th minute when they were awarded a penalty, which Mbesuma stepped up to convert.
It got better for the home side in the final 10 minutes when substitute, Sibusiso Masina, marked his return with a goal to round off a comprehensive win for Aces.
Ertugral's have now extended their unbeaten run to six games in the Absa Premiership and are one of three teams yet to taste defeat this season.
While, the win has seen Aces rise up to second in the league table, while Maritzburg remain rooted to the bottom with out win all season.
