Polokwane Snatch Late Victory At Maritzburg

Polokwane City came from behind to secure a thrilling 3-2 win over Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Tuesday evening.
 
The home side opened the scoring after just one minute when Mohammed Anas turned home Evans Rusike's cross from the right flank.
 
However, Rise and Shine drew themselves in the 11th minute as Thobani Mncwango slotted home from close range, after being teed up by Jabulani Nene.
 
Clive Barker's side nearly restored their lead in the 39th minute when Brian Onyango headed wide of the target, after getting on the end of Kurt Lentjies' free-kick.
 
The sides went into the halftime break with the score level at 0-0.
 
Both sides exchanged long range efforts shortly after the halftime break, with Lentjies firing wide for the hosts, while Sphesihle Nzimande fired off target from distance.
 
Lentjies went close for the Team of Choice in the 67th minute when his effort sailed just over the crossbar.
 
Although, Lentjies was not to be denied in the 85th minute when tapped home from close range after getting on the end of Mondli Cele's cross.
 
However, Rise and Shine hit back three minutes later as Jabu Maluleke fired home a free-kick to set up a nervous final five minutes.
 
The visitors eventually snatched victory in the first minute of stoppage time when Puleng Tlolane pounced on an error from Onyango, before slotting past Tawfeeq Salie.
