A brace from Khama Billiat inspired Mamelodi Sundowns to a 5-0 win over Polokwane City at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Pitso Mosimane's men took control from the onset, as Khama Billiat looked lively down the left flank with his pace and skill.

Sundowns nearly went ahead in the 11th minute, Billiat combined well with Cuthbert Malajila, who eventually teed up Anthony Laffor from 12-yards, but the Liberian's effort crashed onto the crossbar.

However, Laffor made up for that miss five minutes later, as he delightfully picked out Malajila, who side-footed home from six-yards out. His 10th goal in the league this season.

The Sundowns pair combined once again in the 26th minute, as Laffor collected a pass from Malajila, before blasting past Modiri Marumo from six-yards out.

The scoring did not end their for Sundowns, with Billiat slotting home from three-yards out, after Laffor broke free down the left flank.

Polokwane City, meanwhile, were on the back foot throughout the the first half and failed to create any clear cut openings.

The visitors came out a stronger side in the second half and had a couple efforts at goal, with Puleng Tlolane going closest with a volley that sailed just wide.

Denis Onyango came to Sundowns' rescue in the 75th minute, the shot-stopper came rushing off his line to deny Tlolane from close range.

Billiat got his second of the game in stoppage time, the Zimbabwean rifled the ball past Marumo at the near post, after being played in by Laffor.

Rodney Ramagalela rounded off the scoring with the final kick of the game, as he turned home Billiat's cross with a powerful finish from the edge of the area.
