Goals from Mandla Masango and Kingston Nkhatha saw Kaizer Chiefs defeat SuperSport United 2-0 in a Absa Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium.
The started in a lively fashion, with both sides moving the ball around nice and quick, while SuperSport's Dove Wome went close with a long range effort that sailed just wide of the upright.
Kingston Nkhatha came close to giving Chiefs the lead in the 34th minute, as his strike from the edge of the area sailed inches wide of the upright.
Stuart Baxter's men got stringer as the half went on, with George Malukeka and Renielwe Letsholonyane pulling the strings in the midfield.
While, Supersort's defensive duo Clayton Daniels and Mor Diouf made a couple match winning interceptions to deny Chiefs the opener.
Chiefs almost took the lead just before the halftime break, Maluleka's close range effort forced Ronwen Williams into fine save.
Masango should have opened the scoring in the 55th minute, the winger played a neat one-two with Nkhatha, before firing a tame effort at Williams from close range.
Letsholonyane could have opened the scoring in the 60th minute, but he failed to trouble Williams form 12-yards out.
However, minutes later the hosts took the lead, as Masango played a one-two with Letsholonyane, before slotting into the bottom corner.
Chiefs then doubled their lead in the 70th minute, as an un-marked Nkhatha tapped home from close range to secure the win for Amakhosi.
