SuperSport Brush Aside Arrows

Absa Premiership

Result: Golden Arrows 0-3 SuperSport United

Date: 19 March 2016

Venue: Chatsworth Stadium

SuperSport United proved too strong for Golden Arrows, as they romped to a 3-0 win at the Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Stuart Baxter's side broke the deadlock inside the first five minutes, as Dove Wome rifled an effort into the bottom corner, after some great build-up play.

The visitors nearly doubled their advantage in the 15th minute via dead-ball situation, when Jeremy Brockie's curling free-kick sailed agonisngly wide of the upright.

SuperSport were awarded a penalty in the 27th minute when Clayton Daniels was brought down in the box. Kingston Nkhatha stepped up and made no mistake from 12-yards out, 2-0.

Arrows struggled to create openings in the final third and were often left frustrated, as they failed to force Ronwen Williams into any difficult saves in the opening 45 minutes.

SuperSport showed some impressive touches in the early stages of the second half and they nearly added a third in the 54th minute but Mbaeva was equal to Fagrie Lakay's stinging strike.

Arrows' task was made even tougher after 70 minutes when Dube was given his marching orders, after picking up his second yellow card of the game.

SuperSport sealed the win in the 86th minute as Thuso Phala played in Michael Morton, who in turned teed up Brockie for the easiest of tap-ins, 3-0.
