Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane admits his side were not at their best, following their 1-1 draw with Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
The 2018/19 Absa Premiership season got underway on Saturday in the country’s capital with an entertaining draw between two of the league’s biggest teams.
Ramahlwe Mphahlele opened the scoring for Chiefs before Ricardo Nascimento equalised from the penalty spot for Sundowns.
Speaking after the game, Mosimane was his usual blunt self and said his side should have scored more goals.
“It was not an easy game. It was a difficult game,” Mosimane told SuperSport.
“Chiefs are a good team, but I thought we should have also scored more goals.
“We didn’t play as well as we always play. We had our chances and we should have scored.”
