One of Cape Town City’s strikers is currently topping the list as the player who has taken the most shots in the opposition’s area of danger.
Lehlohonolo Majoro, who has recently been dropped by the City squad in the team’s past four encounters, is still top of the list of players with the most shots in the danger zone in 90-minute games in the Absa Premiership, leading the likes of Amr Gamal and Bernard Parker.
Majoro has scored three and assisted one goal so far in the 2017/18 campaign, proving to be a threat in dangerous areas when given a run out by Head Coach Benni McCarthy.
However, it seems that the likes of Gamal will be catching up to Majoro’s statistics, as the 31-year-old is yet to make a return to City’s squad.
Here are the top 10 players who have taken the most shots in dangerous areas per 90 minutes in the Absa Premiership:
1. Lehlohonolo Majoro – 2.73
2. Amr Gamal – 2.47
3. Sibusiso Masina – 2.33
4. Tashreeq Morris – 1.95
5. Rhulani Manzini – 1.52
