Absa Premiership
Score: Kaizer Chiefs 0-0 Mamelodi Sundowns
Date: 5 April 2014
Venue: FNB Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns go into the halftime break with the scores level at 0-0 in their Absa Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium.
Chiefs were certainly slower to get started and were wasteful in possession in the opening stages of the first half.
Stuart Baxter's men upped the tempo after the 20 minute mark and even registered a few efforts at goal, although they were restricted to long rang efforts, with Renielwe Lestholonyane coming the closest in the 37th minute.
While George Lebese forced Kennedy Mweene into a fine save just before the halftime break.
Sundowns on the other hand took control of the game from the beginning but much like Chiefs they were also restricted to efforts from distance, with Hlompo Kekana and Lebohang Mokoena going close in the early stages.
