Bafana Bafana may have failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, but the PSL will be represented by other players who have booked tickets to the competition with their national team.
Quite a few PSL players were called up for their national teams for the international break, with qualification the main aim.

Zimbabwe, who had the most players plying their trade in the PSL, booked their place at the AFCON. The Warriors finished second behind defending African champions Algeria in group H. This means the likes of Khama Billiat was called up to the squad, but could not feature while he recovers from injury, but he will surely be in the plans for AFCON once he is fit again.
Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori may have been out nursing an injury, but he will no doubt be a key member for the Ghanaian squad which has qualified for the 24-team tournament.
Malawi booked their place in the competition with a 1-0 victory over Denis Onyango's Uganda, thanks to a goal scored by Baroka's Richard Mbulu. Mbulu's Baroka teammate Gerald Phiri was part of the squad too, as well as Pirates forward Gabadinho Mhango.
Ivory Coast, who had JDR Stars goalkeeper Badra Ali Sangare in their squad, qualified yet again for the competition after finishing on top of group K on 10 points. Another JDR Stars player who is looking to book a ticket to AFCON is Benin goalkeeper Marcel Dandjinou. Benin take on Sierra Leone in their final group L match in Freetown on Tuesday, March 30.
