Former Sundowns And Pirates Striker To Call It A Day?

A Former Orlando Pirates And Mamelodi Sundowns Player Could Be Calling It Quits On His Career

By Soccer Laduma - Apr 15, 2018 10:33 AM

A former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates player could be considering hanging up his boots.

Katlego Mashego, who is currently one of the senior players at Chippa United, experienced a successful professional football career, however, according to Siya sources, the player is believed to be considering calling it a day on his career.

The 35-year-old striker, who scooped a few trophies with SuperSport United, Pirates and Sundowns, has made just 12 appearances in all competitions for the Chili Boys this season.

However, Mashego is yet to make a return to Chippa’s matchday setup after not featuring in the team’s previous three league encounters.

With Chippa having four more fixtures left to be played it remains to be seen whether Mashego will feature in any of the encounters before announcing his potential retirement from the beautiful game.

"Siya sources have be reliably inform that he was spotted in Naturena, this comes after an insider confirmed the news that he'll be offered a 3 year contract plus 1 year option. Along with Mbesuma Mahoota is expected to sign before end of July, this is to give competition to Parker upfront"
